The Michigan Court of Claims has denied a request by Detroit Public Schools for a temporary restraining order against DPS teachers. The court has ordered the parties to appear for a show cause hearing on January 26. DPS had filed an injunction yesterday in an attempt to get the teachers back to the classroom following a series of rolling sick outs to protest classroom conditions.  On Wednesday a sick out closed 88 DPS schools, idling thousands of children.
