Funeral services have been set for a giant in our community. Mike Fezzey, the regional head of Huntington Bank, and the former longtime head of WJR, died over the weekend. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. at the Desmond Funeral Home on Woodward in Royal Oak. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Woodside Bible Church in Troy. A reception will be held afterward at the atrium of the Huntington Bank Regional Headquarters on Big Beaver Road in Troy. Mike Fezzey, bank president, former president of WJR, and major Detroit community booster, died of an apparent heart attack. He was 58.
