President Obama’s challenges Detroit-area residents to sign up for insurance

Affordable Care Act

Metro Detroit is among 20 U.S. communities competing to see which one can reduce the highest percentage of uninsured people during the current open enrollment period under the 2010 Affordable Care Act, known more commonly as Obama Care. A release from the White House said the winning community would receive bragging rights, a healthier community, and a visit from the president to celebrate the victory. The open enrollment period began back on November 1 and ends next Sunday.
