Request made to extend Obamacare open enrollment for Flint residents

Affordable Care Act

Two Michigan members of congress have asked the Obama administration to extend the open enrollment period for health care coverage under the Affordable Health Care Act for residents of Flint because of the city’s drinking water crises. The current deadline is January 31st. Senator Gary Peters and Congressman Dan Kildee explained that a delay gives Flint residents more time to find a plan best suited to their needs.
