A redesign of I-375 is in the works

I-375

Results of a study say it’s still an option to redesign Interstate 375, a spur off of I-75 that feeds into downtown Detroit. The Michigan Department of Transportation, the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, and the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy conducted the study. Ideas include reconstructing the freeway or shortening I-375, and transitioning to surface streets farther north. MDOT says Monday six alternatives for the freeway transformation remain on the table. The next step before a decision is a land use study and there’s no timetable for when a land use analysis will be started.
