Gov. Snyder and Mayor Weaver outline new initiatives in Flint Water Crisis

Governor Rick Snyder and Flint Mayor Karen Weaver holding a news conference to outline new initiatives to help solve the Flint water crisis. The Governor named a group of medical and field experts to a committee that will determine long term solutions to fix the water system and help residents.  The Governor says this is just the beginning of the process and the Mayor said she hopes he keeps his word.

Governor Snyder is asking the Obama administration to expand Medicaid to cover all young people in Flint. He wants to target Flint residents up to age 21 to be covered by Medicaid.

Meanwhile, a new lawsuit is asking a federal judge to force the state of Michigan and city of Flint to replace all lead pipes in Flint’s water system for free.
