Former “Survivor” contestant, White Lake resident Michael Skupin faces child porn, racketeering charges

White Lake resident Michael Skupin, who appeared on “Survivor: The Australian Outback” and “Survivor: Philippines.” was arraigned on Friday in Clarkston on six counts of possession of child sexual abusive materials, five counts of larceny by conversion and one count of conducting a criminal enterprise.

According to a press release from Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette,  “Not only did this man rob people of their hard earned savings with his financial scams but he victimized innocent children every time he looked at a piece of child pornography. This man seems to have no concept or caring for right and wrong and will be prosecuted under the full extent of the law for these horrific crimes.”

The 54-year-old allegedly recruited investors to take part in “Pay It Forward.”  Authorities were searching Skupin’s laptop as part of the Ponzi scheme investigation when they found pictures of underage children in sexual situations.

Skupin’s bond was set at $350,000. He will appear be back in court on February 19.
