The Detroit mother who prosecutors say killed two of her children and then put them in a freezer in the family home has been charged with two counts of murder. The judge ordered a psychiatric examination for 35 year old Mitchelle Blair. She was in court for her arraignment on the murder charges. She’s also facing torture and abuse charges. Her two other children have been placed in protective custody.
Blair faces automatic life in prison — no parole if convicted.
