Police search for man trying to abduct women in Bloomfield Township

Someone is trying to abduct women in Bloomfield Township. According to police, a 20-year-old woman was nearly abducted Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of a shopping center in Bloomfield Township.  A second woman was approached moments later. A third woman  has also contacted authorities about an incident involving a man that matches the description.

It happened at the shopping center at the southwest corner of Woodward Avenue and Square Lake Road . The was approached by a man who asked “if she wanted  to make $100,000?” When she declined He tried  to pull  her from her vehicle but she was able to fight him off. The man got to a van and drove off. He  approached a second woman waiting in line and tried to get her to leave the restaurant with him. The third was approached by a man in the same parking lot, but near the Rite Aid. The description she gave police matches the man in the earlier abduction attempt.

The man is black, 6 feet tall,  180 to 200 pounds, between 40 and 50 years old.  He has a distinctive mole on the outside of one of his eyes, has short black hair, a thicker trimmed mustache, and was wearing a black knit hat, green army jacket and dark pants. The vehicle he was driving was a red panel van without a license plate and no rear windows. There was a second person seen inside the van.
