Gov. Snyder on running for president: ‘My interest right now is on roads’

Governor Rick Snyder declined to answer whether there’s a chance he’ll enter the increasingly crowded Republican primary field for the 2016 presidential election.

“My interest right now is on roads,” he said after an event in Ann Arbor Wednesday morning. Snyder did mention increased travel to other states, which some candidates use to test the waters for a presidential campaign.

The two-term governor also commented briefly on other candidates he’s seen jump into the field or consider making a run for the nation’s highest office.
