Body found in Monroe County identified as missing Chelsea Bruck

ASH TOWNSHIP, MI — Monroe County sheriff’s officials, after an autopsy performed by the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office Saturday, are confirming the body of a woman found in Ash Township Friday is Chelsea Bruck, the 22-year-old woman who vanished after a Halloween party in October.

Sheriff’s officials held a press conference at 7 p.m. to share the news publicly.

Bruck’s body was found in a wooded area on private property near Briar Hill Road and Will Carleton Road in Ash Township Township, about 15 miles from Bruck’s hometown and eight miles from the place she is last known to have been.

Bruck disappeared in the early morning of Oct. 26, following a party on Post Road in Frenchtown Township. Bruck is a white woman with blond hair, approximately 5-feet 7-inches and 140 lbs.

She was last seen wearing a “Poison Ivy” costume, which included tight black pants, a leaf-covered top and a dark purple wig.
