DETROIT, MI – Roger Penske may open an auto racing museum in downtown Detroit, according to a report in the Detroit Free-Press.
Penske, who own the Team Penske racing team, said he was exploring the idea and would likely make a decision in the next few months.
“We’re looking at a building downtown, and our thoughts are, ‘Can we put an office downtown and maybe put in a museum where we would bring in race cars?’” Penske told the Free Press.
Penske owns the Penske Racing Museum in an automotive dealership mall in Scottsdale, Arizona.
