A jury has found a 69 year old man guilty of second degree murder in the fatal shooting of another motorist near Howell last fall. Martin Zale took the stand in his own defense.
Zale shot Derek Fleming last September near Howell. Witnesses say Fleming walked up to Zale’s pickup truck to complain about aggressive driving while both were stopped in traffic. Zale says he shot Fleming in self-defense after Fleming hit him in the face.
